Inspired by a famous purple unofficial sportsball team mascot and pop culture sensation.

Based on the regular dodecahedron, the dimpled version replaces each face with a smaller, inverted pentagon, and each vertex with a sunken pyramid. This model began a study for a new approach to a full dodecahedron, but once I folded it I realized that a hemispheric dome was a really interesting shape and cool sculpture in its own right.
