Invented and refine over a week in late October bookended by the CoCon origami convention in Chicago and the OrigaMIT convention in Boston, my goal was to create a relatively simple spider eight-legged spider that could be folded in less than an hour. I also thought thick legs would be kinda creepy and scary. It turned out to be pretty complex for an intermediate-aspiring model, but still far less complex than many insects and arachnids out there.
