Infinigon was a progressive rock band from Buffalo, New York. The name came from the classic mathematical allegory Flatland by Edwin A. Abbott, about life in a two-dimensional universe. Infinigon played parties, bars, and other gigs in and around the University of Buffalo from 1986 to 1988. We started playing covers of what would now be considered "classic rock", but as our lineup solidified and musicianship improved we took on a decidedly prog direction, even crossing over into jazz fusion. I was in a number of cover and party bands in those years, and Infinigon was one of the best. When the group broke up, I formed the jazz group Event Horizon with drummer Mark Colicchia.
