HipHopera

Viacom New Media, 1993-1994

HipHopera was an exploration into the space of interactive music multimedia. At its heart was a Bounce application that combined stored MIDI sequences, reatlime MIDI input, output and manipulation, and model-driven realtime character animation to deliver a game like musical experince to the end user. I led or contributed to all aspects of the project's design, development and production.

Stills from live animation as users improvise music by moving characters around the stage.

The top level Dataflow Module for the Gigme Bounce application.

Example of Bounce code: A nested dataflow module that sends a MIDI all notes off command out in response to a keyboard shortcut.
